Having just joined I have decent hopes that this will work out for the best. I've been wanting to get clean and stop taking addictive pain killers for nearly 3+ years. After a traumatic injury that cause sever onging physical issues that brought about (at first) a genuine need for pain killers eventually turned into an addiction I desperately want to conquor. I love working out and doing triathlons, but havn't trained much at all for the past 2 years. I've gained weight, lost all of my self esteem and need to turn my life around before I loose everything. (I've spent a fortune on these drugs and I can't afford to keep doing this). I am able to walk and swim and do some wieght training and I hope I can become more consistent and ultimatley replace my need for pain killers for a need to train and do triathlons.

Needing some feedback. My son is 18 years old and in a significant amount of legal trouble. His addiction led him to dealing marijuana and he got caught. He is facing 51 months in prison if convicted. He has an attorney and if he can get his life on track, the attorney believes he can probably get probation or up to 6 months in prison/jail. He is currently on juvenile probation (just went to court last week to be sentenced) for a charge of drug paraphanilia when he was 17. We bonded him out of jail with expectation that he reside with us, stop using, stop selling, and get into treatment. He continued to use throughout treatment and continued to sell. This is his six week of IOP and he is still using. He has made all treatment sessions. I found a detox drink in his room last monday while he was at treatment. I dumped it and took it to director of the treatment facility with a note stating I would not longer protect his addiction. at that time, they recommended he contact his probation officer and advise of his continued use as well as attending 12 step meetings on the days he is not in treatment. He did go to his first NA meeting last Tuesday. I know he went as he has the NA book. Friday he got out of treatment at 900pm and did not come home. Finally yesterday afternoon he responded to my texts and eventually returned home at 600pm or so. He was coming down from 3 grams of shrooms and was a hot mess. He just laid in his bed last night for hours with the NA book open staring at it or reading in, not sure which one. It was a pitiful sight to say the least. Had he got pulled over I am confident he would have gotten a DUI. I wanted to put him in inpt to begin with but treatment center indicated he did not meet criteria. This morning he is asking me not to tell his treatment center of his relapse. He wants to try again. I am torn. We took the key to his car and his cell phone. I just don't know what to do. Any feedback is appreciated.
