Our mission at Racing for Recovery™ is to prevent all forms of substance abuse by promoting a lifestyle of fitness and health for all those affected by addiction. Racing for Recovery™ is a federally approved 501 c 3 non-profit organization.

Many regular local and nationwide support groups are moderated by members of Racing for Recovery™, including a weekly online support group hosted at this site and available to visitors from across the country and around the world.
Annual 5k run/walk events are sponsored by Racing for Recovery™ across the country; a half Iron event is also held annually. Contact us to bring an event to your community to help beat addiction there, too.
As someone who has been directly effected by drug and alcohol addiction and the battle to recover and stay sober, Founder and Executive Director of Racing for Recovery™ Todd Crandell regularly speaks to groups and individuals to convey one important message. "With sobriety, anything is possible." Contact us to book a speaking engagement.
A full length Documentary and a Book about the life of Todd Crandell have been published to help motivate individuals and family members effected by addiction. A copy of each can be purchased online at this site and all proceeds go to support Racing for Recovery's mission.

Todd Crandell, Founder and Executive Director of Racing for Recovery™ has overcome a thirteen year addiction to drugs and alcohol, turning his life and health around. Since becoming sober on April 15, 1993, he has devoted his energy to athletic competition, regularly completing triathlons, including global Ironman triathlons. These Ironman triathlons consist of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon run.
